3D ART MURALS
A 3D mural is an intervention on the wall to create a multidimensional space with different materials (not only with paint), You can challenge yourself with wood, paint, plants, electricity, wallpaper and anything your mind can think of.
In this project, the idea was to play with the space and through that I proposed a geometric intervention inspired by the memphis design style.
What makes this mural special is also the lightning as it is electrified in the inside and the lamps where also designed and carefully handcrafted.
THE INSPIRATION
My first inspiration was the space. If you are going to design a mural you always have to think of the space, the lightning, the interactivity with the people around, the architecture, the materials. That was my first inspiration. After that, I immediatly thought about the memphis design. So, what is it? Well, around 1980s a group of architects in Italy where tired of the minimalism of the past decades and started a movement with a different perspective in shape, colors and functionality.
