ETERNAL FEMININE
Throughout history, the concept of femininity has been shaped by societal influence and the male gaze. From ancient times, an idealized and stereotypical image of what a woman should be, how she should behave, and how she should look has been imposed. This ideal has varied over the centuries, but the constant has been the presence of a dominant male perspective that has dictated the standards and expectations to which women have been subjected.
The female body, in particular, has been the object of a male gaze that has sought to perpetuate certain standards of beauty and attractiveness. Different characteristics have been valued in different eras, from the voluptuous curves of the Renaissance to the slender and androgynous figures of the Victorian era. Women have been pressured to conform to these idealized representations, often sacrificing their own individuality and autonomy.
